The 19th Western China International Expo (hereinafter referred to as "Expo West"), with the theme "A New Era for China - A New Journey for the West", will be held from June 29 th to July 3 rd at the West China International Expo City in Chengdu, Sichuan. Guided by Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, the Expo will thoroughly implement the spirit of the 20th Party Congress and General Secretary Xi Jinping's series of important instructions on Sichuan's work, fully implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's congratulatory letter to the Expo, lead the modernisation of the western region with Chinese modernisation, give full play to the Expo's role as an important window for China's opening up to the outside world, and further promote the construction of the "Belt and Road" , the development of the West in the new era, the construction of the twin-city economic circle in the Chengdu-Chongqing region and the construction of a new land and sea corridor in the West, and actively expand the high-level opening up of the West. The Expo is co-organised by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the General Administration of Market Supervision, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, the National Association of Friendship with Foreign Countries, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Sichuan Provincial People's Government, supported by the Boao Forum for Asia and hosted by the Sichuan Provincial People's Government, and will be held under the concept of "co-organisation, sharing and win-win".
